We are proud of the reputation and acclaim Multicolor Printing has achieved over the decades for its quality services and extensive in-house capabilities. As such, it has been afforded the opportunity to collaborate with many of the most talented graphic design houses in South Florida to co-produce projects which are worthy of recognition beyond the norm because of their unique, unusual or complicated nature. This post marks the first in what will be a monthly feature of this blog to highlight these outstanding projects.

Announcement Box with Label

This month we feature our partnership with FC Edge (Stuart, FL) and VGTI-Florida (Port St. Lucie, FL) for a stellar ‘Save The Date’ announcement.

March 3, 2012 will mark a very special event on Florida’s Treasure Coast…

THE INAUGURAL VGTI BIO BALL

VGTI ‘Bio Ball’ Save the Date

The Ball is destined to be among the top social events in all of Florida for the 2012 social season. An event this big requires a top-tier ‘Save the Date’ announcement and Mike Visconte, Tina Luce and their team at FC Edge certainly came through. Working closely with Penny Sugar and her team at VGTI, the result was spectacular, as evidenced by the photos and movie (Click HERE) which accompany this post.

Multicolor Printing’s role in the project was to produce the die-cut cradle for the glowing ‘Bio Ball’, as well as, the label for the box top and the vellum instruction insert. Three production methods were utilized for the project: offset printing, digital printing and die cutting. The cradle and label were printed on our 5-color SpeedMaster Heidelberg offset press and the vellum insert was printed on our Xerox 700 digital color press. Both the cradle and label were printed CMYK with a flood varnish. A spot, gloss UV coat was added to the cradles before they were die-cut on our Heidelberg KSBA die-cutting press.

The announcements were sent worldwide via direct mail.

Of course, the ‘Save The Date’ announcement is just the first installment of the project… the invitation package is currently in production. More on that in a future post. Stay tuned.
